Chanel Tang

As a senior travel counselor at Hike Guilin, a division of China Expedition Tours, Chanel Tang had been working as an English-speaking tour guide for 9 years before she joined Hike Guilin in 2012. As a local girl, she’s been to every hiking routes we have in Guilin, which enable her to help you booking and operate a tour smoothly. Her great command of English, passion of work and nice personality will ensure your booking and the tour itself an unforgettable experience in Guilin.

In the office, Chanel’s major work is tour consultation, booking and customer cares.

Lizzie Mo

Lizzie joined Hike Guilin in April 2013. She is a local girl, and she used to be a tour guide, but now she works in the office to design different tour routes. She wants to show the beautiful landscape and brilliant culture of her hometown to people from different countries. Lizzie is a detail-oriented person. Her sense of responsibility, flexibility, understanding of both travelers and the guides all contribute to a successful hiking experience for you.

Lizzie is mostly in charge of operation and coordination of the tour guides and drivers.

Sunny Sun

Mr. Lu Sun (Sunny), senior English-speaking tour guide born in 1958, has been working as a professional guide for more than 30 years. He is specialized in commentary on the topics of local rural life, plants & vegetation, and Karst geology. His patience and expertise have won praise from thousands of visitors and hiking travelers from all over the world.

Jay Zhao

Jay has a 7-year tour guide experience in Guilin and its surrounding areas ever since his graduation from college. He joined Hike Guilin in 2015. He loves this area so much that he barely wants to move to another other places. He always pursues a considerate and humorous guiding style. Beautiful landscape and splendid culture are what Jay wants to share extremely with customers. Meanwhile Jay is a budding photographer and knows how to show you the right spots of photographing. Peter Mo

Peter joined Hike Guilin in May 2013. He speaks fluent English and always does his best to answer all the questions his guests ask. He also does as a national guide to other parts of China, so he is able to give his guests helpful suggestions and advice on traveling in other parts of this country. Being a native Guilin man, he knows well about Guilin, Yangshuo, Longsheng and other surrounding areas. He is always keen to share his rich knowledge and interesting stories with his guests.

Nicky Liao

Nicky joined Hike Guilin in June 2016. He has rich experience of being the guide of English-speaking groups since 2009. He has traveled China extensively and great Guilin area is his favorite. He loves outdoor activities and photography so much that he chooses a career as a tour guide. Nicky is from a minority group, knows well about Guilin and its surrounding areas, and is happy to share with you the local folk customs, history, ethnic culture and other stories. He is willing to answer all your questions anytime.

Marco Yang

Marco Yang has been working as an English-speaking guide since 2007. With more than 10 years’ experience of guiding the regular and the hiking tours, he joined Hike Guilin at the year of 2014. He’s very familiar with local people’s customs, traditions and cultures. Not just in Guilin, he also guides tourists from all over the world in Yangshuo, Longsheng, Sanjiang and other neighboring regions. He is kind, patient, and always ready to help. He can always give you a safe and pleasant journey with his reliable experience and great sense of humor. That’s why so many tourists had become good friends of his, only after few days’ tour.

Mike Qin

Being an English-speaking tour guide for more than 10 years, Mike is dedicated to providing customized traveling experiences to travelers from all over the world. Meanwhile, for the past 10 years, Mike has been traveling in China and some other countries by himself to gain knowledge and expertise. He was born and grow up in Guilin, and he knows his hometown very well. His specialties include hiking tours around Guilin and adventures. He believes every single person has a different traveling style. So, he takes his time to get to know his guests, to make sure what’s important to them, what they care about, and even what they worry about. He believes that memorable travel experience should be authentic, and the authenticity can only happen when both the guide and the guests can openly share their passions, ideas and stories.

Your Hiking Tour Drivers and vehicles

All the drivers working for Hike Guilin and China Expedition Tours have a driving experience of at least 10 years. Besides the official driving license, they all have a special “Permit of Tourist Driver”, which makes them more strictly chosen from other drivers. All the vehicles they drive are bought comprehensive insurance against all risks for. They take good care of the vehicles they drive and check them regularly. They are very familiar with all the different types of roads around Guilin, Yangshuo and Longsheng areas, and they are good at timing from one place to the other when they work. Almost none of them speak English, but your can feel their hospitality, politeness and professionalism from their smiles and manners. They are all the time your silent companions during your hiking tours in Guilin.
